Compassion ministries
Compassion ministries involve reaching out to people who are hurting or in need. As relationships are built, we can show and share the love of Christ, which has the power to transform lives.
Compassion ministries play an important role in the church’s mission of sharing the Gospel and meeting people’s needs. Currently the BCNE has an active team working with church-based ESL ministries, as well as a Disaster Relief network. Find out more:
For other types of compassion ministries, we offer occasional webinars, as well as some suggested resources. If you have questions about a specific type of compassion ministry, email Sandy Coelho. If we are aware of other churches already involved in that type of ministry, we will be happy to help you!
Domestic abuse
Abuse within the church is something we don’t like to think about, but unfortunately it happens more often than many realize. The BCNE wants to help pastors and church leaders understand what domestic abuse is and ways they can help victims of domestic abuse. Check out these articles and webinars on domestic abuse in the church.
If you need more extensive training, or if you’re looking for a Christian organization to help you walk through a specific domestic abuse situation, we recommend contacting Called to Peace.
