Kid Min University

KidMinU is an online certification program for children’s ministry leaders and volunteers that is offered in partnership with the Mississippi Baptist Convention.

Participants in Kid Min University will have the opportunity to sharpen their leadership skills, network with ministry leaders and discover useful resources and skills to help as they lead children’s ministries in New England.

Upgrade your skills as a children’s ministry leader through the KidMinU certificate program. You’ll learn about ministry models, safety and security, ways to support volunteers, event planning, resolving conflict, managing change and more.

In 2024, the program has nine sessions that include online zoom classes for each session and a ministry assignment. Ministry assignments will dovetail with your ministry context. There will be two in person sessions that take place in Northborough, Massachusetts. Check out the full details below!


Details:

  • KidMinU will meet for online sessions — 7:00 p.m. CST (Mississippi) and 8:00 p.m. EST (New England) — dates and days vary (check the schedule)

  • In the case of emergences, students can miss up to two (2) online sessions during the class with the understanding that they will have to view the session video and keep up with class assignments.

  • Two face to face meetings are REQUIRED: April 13 and August 17

  • Assignments will vary in time needed. Throughout the class you will probably need to spend up to 90 minutes per week on assignments. This will include reading articles, writing assignments, meeting with other class members, etc.

  • Students are responsible for the $129 course fee and other reading materials and minor supplies needed.
