Introduction to Interim Pastor Training

  • Frenchtown Church 1359 Frenchtown Road East Greenwich, RI, 02818 United States (map)

Interim ministries can be vital to help prepare a church for its next season of ministry. This course will introduce you to the tools and ideas to help churches have meaningful impact during this key time of transition between pastors.

This course is for those considering interim ministry and can serve as a refresher for those already serving in interim ministry. Retired pastors, church planters, and lay leaders have all served as successful interim pastors. Whether you serve as interim once or becomes a lifestyle of ministry, this course can be helpful to you.

Our time will be led by Stan Smith. Stan has over 40 years of ministry experience with over 30 of those years helping churches with the Baptist Convention of Pennsylvania- South Jersey. He is currently serving as an interim pastor in Maryland. Rich Clegg will also be assisting in leading the course. Rich has over 17 years of pastoral experience with the last 8 assisting churches as the NH Regional Coordinator for the Baptist Churches of New England.
