Retirement and protection benefits for pastors and church staff
Did you know BCNE pastors and ministerial staff members who have a retirement account through GuideStone could be eligible to receive an annual retirement benefit of up to $210? It is the desire of the BCNE to invest in pastors who are key leaders in fulfilling the Great Commission through their local churches.
Guidestone and BCNE offer financial benefits together
This retirement benefit is in addition to the other two benefits provided by BCNE through its relationship with GuideStone®. GuideStone has provided financial services to churches, ministries, and institutions in the SBC for over 100 years. To encourage pastors to invest in their retirement, BCNE and GuideStone provide the following benefits to pastors who contribute to retirement through GuideStone:
-Disability Income Benefit
-Survivor Protection Benefit
Are you eligible?
To qualify, any BCNE pastor or ministerial staff must work at least 20 hours weekly at their local church in good standing with the BCNE, participating in the Cooperative Program with at least $500 yearly. Secondly, you or your church must contribute a minimum of $125 per month to your retirement plan through GuideStone. If you are a BCNE pastor and do not have a GuideStone account yet, you can join today to take advantage of many GuideStone benefits provided through BCNE.
How to get started?
If you meet the two eligibility requirements listed above, you have been automatically enrolled in these benefits. The State Convention Benefits for SBC Churches has more information about these three financial benefits through our relationship with GuideStone.
If you have not set up your retirement account with GuideStone, the first step is to set up your GuideStone retirement account.
