A Personal Update From Our Executive Director

For the past two years, my wife Kay has endured a difficult battle with pancreatic cancer. Throughout this challenging journey, she has undergone extensive chemotherapy treatments, demonstrating incredible resilience. However, we have now reached a pivotal moment in her treatment where we must accept that chemo is no longer effective. Our focus is shifting toward providing Kay with the best possible palliative care. Today, I want to express my gratitude for the unwavering support we have received from our BCNE family in each stage of this journey.

From the beginning, the outpouring of love and encouragement from our friends has been nothing short of amazing. Each prayer and every word of encouragement we have received have been invaluable in sustaining us during the most challenging moments. Your support has reminded us that we are not alone, and it has given us the strength to face each new day with hope, determination, and trust in the Lord.

I am deeply grateful to the BCNE Board of Directors, who have shown immense understanding and compassion during this difficult time. They have granted me a leave of absence so that I can fully dedicate myself to caring for Kay. Beginning on July 17, I will be unavailable for work-related matters. As we embark on this new phase of Kay's journey, we cannot predict how long my absence from the office will be. While I am away, I have complete confidence in the exceptional staff at the BCNE, who are more than capable of carrying the mission forward. In the event of any urgent matters, Allyson Clark from the BCNE staff will be the point person to contact me.

Once again, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your ongoing prayers, encouragement, and support. Your unwavering presence in our lives has been a source of great strength and comfort, and we are grateful to have such incredible people by our side.
