Join us for some serious and frank discussion around the topic of leading kids through GRIEF, ANXIETY and DEPRESSION. This will be a sneak peek preview of the content that we will be discussing more fully at our Kid's Ministry Roundtable on September 15.
Special Guest: Alexia Johnstone, Counselor, MA, LMHC
Alexia provides individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults with mood and anxiety disorders & post-traumatic stress disorder. She is also experienced in providing family therapy to families struggling with parenting issues, school attendance and achievement issues, and difficulty communicating with their children. She understand the success of therapy is dependent on a "good fit," and is committed to helping families find the best fit!
Alexia is trained in expressive arts therapy. Drawing, music, writing, and moving our bodies often provides insight and solutions we do not see when using talk therapy alone. She believes that therapy is a process that we navigate together, to come up with solutions that are unique to each individual and family.
