Baptist Foundation loans, scholarships, & grants

Church loans

Churches affiliated with the Baptist Churches of New England can apply for a loan for capital expenses under certain conditions. These loans are typically for $100,000 or less. BCNE churches may also be considered for a loan to purchase a church parsonage.  Download the application to read the guidelines and request a loan.

Ministry scholarships

Leaders or active members of BCNE churches in good standing are invited to apply for one of two scholarships for:

  1. Current pastors and staff members who want to further their education.

  2. Members of a BCNE church who want to prepare for vocational ministry in New England.

Both funds require enrollment at an accredited college or seminary in pursuit of a degree. The amount of the scholarship varies each year with the maximum being $1,000.

Download the application and carefully read the criteria to make sure you qualify before returning the form. Applications that fall outside the criteria will not be acknowledged.

Grants

BCNE churches that are currently in good standing, or church plants sponsored by BCNE churches in good standing, are invited to apply for grants to help them with outreach events, building projects, or other special community ministries.

You must also ask the BCNE Regional Coordinator for your geographic area to email an endorsement for your grant to Dr. Terry Dorsett.

If your area does not have a BCNE Regional Coordinator, your Director of Missions from the local Baptist association may send an endorsement on your behalf.
