There are various age groups and organizations for them ranging from preschoolers to adults.
Preschoolers
Mission Friends – Mission Friends provides developmentally appropriate missions learning experiences to help preschoolers move from self-centered focus to focus on others. Children – Bible-centered, church-based mission organization for children in grades 1-6
Children In Action - the WMU mission organization for boys and girls when coed is the way your church chooses. Children investigate missions for themselves with the help of their directors. The leaders of CiA are called directors. The members of CiA are called agents. "Give us the children of today for missions and we take the world for Christ tomorrow." -- taken from the presidential address of Miss Fannie E. S. Heck, WMU, SBC CiA uses the same yearly emphasis that GA and other WMU organizations use, but plans for CiA curriculum are developed separately. For more info visit Children In Action
Royal Ambassadors – RA’s is all about leading boys to be ambassadors for Christ in their everyday lives. Their motto is: “We are ambassadors for Christ!” For more information visit Royal Ambassadors.
Youth - ages 12-17
Acteens – Designed with the needs and interest of teenage girls in mind, Acteens is an opportunity to grow in understanding of God, self, and others. Acteens is for girls who are aged 12–17 or in grades 7–12. Through Acteens, teenage girls can have opportunities to grow in their relationships with God and their peers. Acteens learn to look beyond themselves and become actively involved in missions and ministry. For more information visit Acteens .
Challengers – Lead young men to new faith and growth in Christ, give them a wide range of ministry and mission experiences, develop their leadership skills. For more information visit Challengers .
Adults – age 18+ Adults on Mission – A coed opportunity for all adults. The resources are web-based and updated monthly with studies, inspirational and instructional information as well as resources and suggestions. For more information visit Adults On Mission .
Baptist Men on Mission – Baptist men that focus on outreach and missions in your community, your state, your country and your world. For more information visit BMM .
Sisters Who Care – For women of all races, classes and backgrounds, Sister Who Care seeks to fulfill the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20. For more information visit Sisters Who Care.
Women on Mission – For all women who desire to grow toward a missions lifestyle, do missions, learn about missions and pray for and give to missions. |
