Getting Funded: A Primer For Churches & Non-Profit Ministries

A Workshop on Grant Writing

May 2-3, 2008
Friday-Saturday

Ministry funding can be difficult, particularly in new work areas or in challenging places where the recipients of the ministry are not going to be able to reach a self-supporting status any time in the near future. At various times, the BCNE has made and will continue to make efforts to provide practical training in developing funding sources. One source is non-profit grants.

  • To Register for the event, download and complete this form and mail in with your payment (pdf): grant_writing_reg_form
  • To share about the workshop with others, download this promotional information sheet (pdf): grantwritingflyer
  • This will take place at Rice Lodge (BCNE)- Space is limited for lodging there (we will put overflow at a local hotel ) Cost:  $15 (we will subsidize the remainder) Contact Ana Souza at BCNE for questions regarding registration:      This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Grants can:

  1. Provide needed funding for ministry outside regular volunteer and partner sources
  2. Underwrite all or subsidize a portion of a major ministry or project
  3. Allow God to work through others who are ready to invest in your ministry or work

In this workshop...

  • You will complete a grant ready for submission
  • Come and work on writing a grant together with others
You will need to bring a laptop for writing and taking notes. It would be helpful to come with GENERAL INFORMATION regarding the following items:
  • Financial information about your ministry, church or organization; or estimates of what you desire to fund
  • The Project needing funding: Your general vision, description or goals
  • Your Ministry, church or organization: age, size, number and general background of employees or volunteers
