The Lord of the Harvest level teaches us that the harvest begins with God Is your church passionate about Christ? Does your church need renewal or revival? John Piper, in his book on world missions wrote, “Life is war!” The sooner we understand this, Piper concludes, the sooner we will become successful in efforts to bring in a good harvest. Churches and leaders who are called to harvest have been given a powerful and effective tool in bringing in the harvest and that is prayer. Prayer is a foundational to the harvest and is the procedure for all successful harvest endeavors.
All true evangelism begins with and is sustained by a vibrant and healthy relationship and worship of God. At the heart of this worship is the process of personal renewal, repentance or revival. It is important that the church adopt the Biblical approach of stimulating or catalyzing personal revival among it's members on a periodic basis. Recognition of sin, Repentance and Return is the Biblical process for corporate renewal of the body. Until this happens, the church is liable to languish in apathy, disharmony and plateau with little growth. Revival in this sense is quite different than the cliché that it has become associated with... bringing a guest speaker to preach the gospel and save some souls. Instead, revival is a challenging spiritual event that shapes God's people and returns them to a vibrant relationship with Him. We at the BCNE would like to help you and your church to build upon this spiritual foundation in order to bring in a great harvest. There are a number of useful resources for bringing the church into healthy relationship with God through renewal and revival events and studies here...
The five stages of the Harvest Process are… 2. Farm and the Workers must be ready 3. Soil must be Examined, Prepared and Adopted 4. Seed Sowing must be Regular, Persistent & Intentional 5.
