Baptist Convention of New England Disaster Relief is a cooperative, volunteer ministry of the multiple states and Associations of the BCNE and its affiliated churches. Disaster Relief is both a Jerusalem as well as Judea mission for us in New England, but overall a glocal mission as we serve throughout the country in times of disaster. Because of the geographic size of New England and the number of churches in our Convention, it is crucial for us to work and build this ministry together for missional effectiveness and God's glory.
BCNE Disaster Relief is totally dependent upon volunteers who give of their time, energy, talents and finances to assist others in a time of disaster. We work in partnership with NVOAD (Natioanl Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster) including the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, other Baptist State Conventions, NAMB and a variety of government Emergency Management Agencies. We work to bring help, hope and the gospel to those in need. The ministry is led by the Disaster Relief State Director, an employee of the BCNE.
