Assisting Individuals in Crisis Training CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management)

This course will be helpful for all chaplains and pastors. Its focus is on training those who serve individuals post crisis.
Crisis intervention is sometimes called “emotional first aid”. This program is designed for teaching participants the fundamentals of and a specific protocol for, individual crisis intervention.
Completion of “Assisting Individuals in Crisis” and receipt of a certificate indicating full attendance (13 Contact Hours) qualifies as a class in ICISF’s Certificate of Specialized Training Program.
Participants: This training is certified by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation www.icisf.org. Church members, Disaster Relief chaplains, counselors, marketplace chaplains, mental health professionals, pastors and first responders all can benefit from these practical guidelines and strategies for people-care in times of need. This course is designed for anyone who desires to increase their knowledge of individual (one-on-one) crisis intervention techniques in the domains of Church, Ministry, Crisis Intervention, Disaster Relief Response, Education, Emergency Services, Employee Assistance, Business & Industry, Healthcare, Homeland Security, Mental Health, Military, Spiritual Care, and Traumatic Stress.
Costs: All participants need to pre-register for the training. It will cost $50 for any in the SBC Disaster Relief community / chaplains and $140 for all others (Accommodations are a separate cost, see below). Dinner, Light Breakfast & Lunch included.
