Join us in the challenge of church planting in New England by committing to be a prayer partner! Through prayer, you can walk alongside the church planter as he meets people in the community, you can encourage people to attend events sponsored by the church, and you can rejoice as contacts are made that lead to new Bible study groups. Through prayer, you can partner with the church planter as he prays for specific lost people. You can build a hedge of protection around him and his family as they make major adjustments to become a part of a new community. You can pray for his children as they try to make new friends and deal with the frustrations of a new school and new neighborhood. You can pray for the wife and mother of this family as she deals with long hours of loneliness as her husband reaches out to the lost in the community. You can lift up this planter couple in prayer as they deal with the inevitable frustrations and isolation and attacks from the enemy.Will you take up the challenge to be a prayer warrior for a planter and his family? The need is great and the intercessors are few. Read through the list of current church plants and the list of target sites for a new church plant. Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to one or more plants or potential plants for which you would be willing to begin to intercede. Communicate with the contact person listed and tell them you want to be a prayer partner. You will begin to receive e-mail requests from the church plant. Then begin to pray!To get you started, here is a list of current prayer requests from planters all over New England. Perhaps the Holy Spirit will speak to you about your personal involvement in the life of one of these new churches as you pray through this list. May God bless you as you take up this vital task! |
