Church & Community Ministry Evangelism
The BCNE desires to help
churches experience or develop and implement ministry-based evangelism
opportunities that reflect community needs and engage the local church in
building relational bridges over which members intentionally share the gospel. Ministries
such as this are what the gospel calls us to and have incredible potential for evangelism in its field.
Matthew 5:14-16 says (from the Message): "Here's another way
to put it: You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the
world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as
public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don't think
I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I'm putting you on a
light stand. Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light
stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up
to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God, this generous
Father in heaven."
The ministry possibilities can be varied
and numerous. Churches and church plants that are doing them are bringing the
love of Christ to hurting communities and are the conduit for the communication
of the gospel to thousands.

The BCNE is here to provide resources, strategies, and consultations for assisting associations and churches in equipping churches to serve and impact their communities with ministries that are also evangelistic.
