The Lord of the Harvest level teaches us that the harvest begins with God
Is your church passionate about Christ?
Does your church need renewal or revival?

/files/Pictures/Evangelism/Logos/Harvest/LordHarvestsm.jpgAll true evangelism begins with and is sustained by a vibrant and healthy relationship and worship of God. At the heart of this worship is the process of personal and corporate renewal, repentance or revival. It is important that the church adopt the Biblical approach of stimulating or catalyzing personal revival among it's members on a periodic basis. Recognition of sin, Repentance and Return is the Biblical process for corporate renewal of the body. Until this happens, the church is liable to languish in apathy, disharmony and plateau or decline with little growth. Revival in this sense is quite different than the cliché that it has become associated with... bringing a guest speaker to preach the gospel and save some souls. Instead, revival is a challenging spiritual event that shapes God's people and returns them to a vibrant relationship with Him.
Churches and leaders who are called to harvest have been given a powerful and effective tool in bringing in the harvest and that is prayer.  We at the BCNE would like to help you and your church to build upon this spiritual foundation in order to bring in a great harvest.

Church Renewal Journey (Lay led renewal)- It is possible to Awaken, Equip, Commission, Empower and Send your congregation through this strategic and dynamic renewal process of weekends in your church. The BCNE has been encouraging many pastors and churches to prayerfully consider holding these lay led weekends in their church. There have been many churches in the BCNE that have conducted these powerful weekends. Once deciding to hold one of the five or more weekend emphases available, a coordinator from another location is appointed and helps the church prepare for about 3 to 6 months, then a leadership team travels to your church to lead the weekend of worship, prayer, fellowship and discipleship. For more information go to the national website or contact Tim Buehner at the BCNE.

There are a number of other very useful resources for bringing the church into healthy relationship with God through renewal and revival events and studies at our evangelism resource page. Page down to the Lord of the Harvest section.

The five stages of the Harvest Process are…

1. Lord of the Harvest

2. The Farm & the Workers Must be Ready
The Farm and the Workers must be ready to receive the Harvest or the results will diminish proportionately.

3. Soil must be Examined, Prepared and Adopted
Knowing and proactively responding to the community in which the church is located is a strategic step in evangelizing effectively. Rather than a posture of a Christian church-culture residing in the community insulated from it’s language, media and issues, the church must know and adopt the community.
Who has God called our church to love and reach- how well do we know them?

4. Seed Sowing must be Regular, Persistent & Intentional
We cannot expect a harvest if we have sown little or no seed.  Seed sowing represents the work of the church in the community.
In what ways are you regularly sowing seeds into your community?

5. Harvest is the culmination of the process
Harvest time involves the effective partnering of those who have sown with those who now reap those ready to worship God through His Son Jesus Christ.
