Laws of the Harvest
Creating a Comprehensive E-Strategy

So often, we regard Evangelism as an event or singular act done only by someone with the gift of evangelism and is relegated to the "How can I do this with the least amount of effort" department of our lives, exposing the truth that it is HARD WORK! It is the work that the body of the church has been called to do corporately. It is likened here to the Biblical metaphor of the hard work of the farmer.

Individuals, the church or the Association need to regard Evangelism as a comprehensive process that follows the biblical Principles of the Harvest and strategize to address each of the five stages to create a comprehensive plan for evangelism.

Robert Spear, a leader in the Student Volunteer Movement once said:

"There is nothing in the world or the Church -- except the church's disobedience -- to render the evangelization of the world in this generation an impossibility."

Singer and songwriter Keith Green once said:

"This generation of Christians is responsible for this generation of souls on earth!"

The only thing that stands in the way of sharing the gospel with all 14 million plus souls in New England who do not know Christ by 2020, is the churches of New England not

working together to do so. We at the BCNE stand committed to:

  • Every Believer Sharing,
  • Every Person Hearing by 2020

In order to do that, we are ready to help your Association or church to better understand how to implement the principles of the Harvest as a comprehensive strategy for evangelizing that is measurable and attainable.

For more, explore the following elements of the Principles of the Harvest...

3. Soil must be Examined, Prepared and Adopted
Knowing and proactively responding to the community in which the church is located is a strategic step in evangelizing effectively. Rather than a posture of a Christian church-culture residing in the community insulated from it’s language, media and issues, the church must know and adopt the community.
Who has God called our church to love and reach- how well do we know them?

4. Seed Sowing must be Regular, Persistent & Intentional
We cannot expect a harvest if we have sown little or no seed.  Seed sowing represents the work of the church in the community.
In what ways are you regularly sowing seeds into your community?

5. Harvest is the culmination of the process
Harvest time involves the effective partnering of those who have sown with those who now reap those ready to worship God through His Son Jesus Christ.
